Kagawa Intelligent Park



- Main center for research, development and new industries - Many public facilities such as NEXT Kagawa (Kagawa Prefecture New Industry Creation Support Center), FROM Kagawa (Kagawa Prefecture Science and Technology Center ), the Kagawa Industrial Intelligence Center, Center for social Collaboration and Intellectual Property, Kagawa University's Engineering Department and The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology Shikoku Center are based here in Kagawa Intelligent Park (KIP).Around the park , many private institutes of advanced research and development .A complete new town has grown from the research and development organizations and industrial support organizations. The main objective of KIP is to maximize the cumulative effect of locating these various organizations together in one place and to create a "Strategic Location for Research, Development, and the Creation of New Industries Through Industrial, Academic, and Governmental Cooperation."

Center for social Collaboration and Intellectual Property, Kagawa University


	Kagawa University's Center for Social Collaboration and Intellectual Property holds the following main objectives: 1) the promotion of regional scientific technology development and industrial promotion as a facility for exchange between industry, academia, and government and 2) the enrichment of the university's scientific research and academic education. It aims to achieve these goals through the promotion of industrial, academic, and governmental cooperation activities; strategically oriented intellectual property development, acquisition, application, and management; and the establishment of an organic university structure, in which all of the university's organizations can cooperate in the management and application of comprehensive intellectual property. NEXT Kagawa(Kagawa Prefecture New Industry Creation Support Center)


	For the purpose of research and development, NEXT Kagawa provides local companies with incubation facilities and a large-wave darkroom facility for measuring the characteristics of electro-magnetic waves. Kagawa Industrial Intelligence Center Building


	The Kagawa Industrial Intelligence Center Building is run by the Kagawa Industry Support Foundation and serves as a core facility for the provision of industrial support. Research rooms and incubator rooms are provided for the further development of information and systems-related fields. Research Center for Industrial Science & Technology(RIST)


	In 1995, RIST was founded as a high temperature, high pressure fluids research institute. RIST is currently engaged in high pressure, high temperature fluids and microwave technology development through cooperation between industry, academia, and government. By conducting real-world research in close collaboration with local companies through various business activities, we seek to promote the development of environmentally friendly technology while making technological advances and promoting industry. National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology Shikoku Center


	This facility serves as the Shikoku branch of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, an independent administrative corporation that serves as Japan's largest research organization. In addition to conducting fundamental and original research pertaining to marine resource development, the facility serves as a guiding organization for the promotion of local technology through its cooperative technological instruction efforts.
